Just because you are at a physical places does not mean OS can't help!  In fact, I am never at my school when the tutoring center is open.  So if I want to get a question answered, the Internet is it.  Not everything is out there and some things take an example or clarification.  OS can really help at those times when you don't have good choices for getting it at the brick and mortar school.
