OpenStudy (mathisfun13):

A triangle ABC with vertices A (6,8), B(6,12), and C (10,12) is rotated 180 degrees. What are the coordinates of C'?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

have you plotted the points on a graph yet?

OpenStudy (mathisfun13):

yea

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

rotate 180 : (x, y) ---> (-x, -y)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

alright then, rotate the triangle 180 degrees this basically just means flip the points to negatives

OpenStudy (anonymous):

exactly as ganeshie said

OpenStudy (mathisfun13):

okay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if you draw the new points on top of the old points, it will make perfect sense why its (-x,-y)
