i need help desperately solve - (3) <2x-1/5<0
add 1/5 to all terms -3+1/5<2x<1/5 divide by 2 in all terms -3/2+1/10<x<1/10
make sense?
ok ok i see thanks so much
is that the answer
Nope, you're not there yet :) From here, simply find what is -3/2+1/10. Then we will get (the number) < x < 1/10. However, to solve for x, I have to know if it is stated that x is an integer? Anyways, if x is an integer, then x is any integer between (the number) and 0. If x is a real number, then it is simply between (that number) and 0. Hope this helped! :)
x is a real number
then just simplify the LHS and you are good
yup so x is between the number we previously got, and 1/10 :)
is the answer -1.4
i mean 1.4
Hi, it's me again :) Well -3/2 + 1/10 is actually -1.4. So great! Note that these type of questions require a range of numbers. So x is from -1.4 to 0.1 :) have a nice day! @darryl.hayes61
