OpenStudy (mathisfun13):

i have to solve the third row third column in a matrices. Solve C-B. The numbers in the third row, second column are 17,16, & 25. but do i add the numbers?

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

solving a certain position in a matrix does not make sense, what exactly does the question ask? type it exactly as the book asks

OpenStudy (mathisfun13):

A=[0 3 5 6 1 4 8 7 2] B= [9 12 14 15 10 13 17 16 11] C= [18 21 23 24 19 22 26 25 20]

OpenStudy (mathisfun13):

third row second column. solve for C-B

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

ok I think you are saying \[C_{3,2}-B_{3,2}\]

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

so take the element in the 3rd row and 2nd column of C which is 25 and subtract the element in the third row 2nd column of B which is 16 so 25-16 = 9

OpenStudy (mathisfun13):

okay
