Find the slope of a line parallel to a line that contains the points (7, 1) and (7, -4).

OpenStudy (ajprincess):

Slope m of a line that passes through two points \((x_1,y_1)\) and \((x_2,y_2)\) can be found using the formula \[m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\] \(x_1=7\), \(x_2=7\), \(y_1=1\) and \(y_2=-4\). Slopes of parallel lines are equal. Does that help?
