What does a unique tangent mean?wrt differentiation?

OpenStudy (dls):

For differentiation,there must exist a unique tangent at that point,does it mean single?

OpenStudy (dls):

nope,like modulus function || is not diffable at x=0 because of absence of a unique tangent

OpenStudy (dls):

@yrelhan4

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

what is differentiation? dy/dx or slope at that point.. a curve at a particular point can have only one value of slope.. multiple values of slope of a curve at a particular point is absurd. thats what i can think of.
