whats the answer Solve the system for x. 9x + 2y = 11 -22x - 5y = -11 A. -143 B. -33 C. 33 D. 143

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Do you know how to solve these systems by elimination, substitution, or graphing?

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

I would suggest that elimination is the obvious approach for this one — try multiplying the first equation by 5, the second equation by 2, and adding the resulting equations together, which should give you an equation only in terms of x.
