f(x) = x 2 + 1 and g(x) = 3x + 1, find f(-1) + 5g(-3)

Again for f(x) replace x with -1 which gives -1(2)+1=3 Then for g(x) replace the x with =-3 giving you 3(-3)+1=10 then times that by 5 Now that values for f and g are known you add them together
