Solve the following system of equations by elimination: 3x + 7y= 4 x + 2y = 2. A. x= -2 y= -6 B. x= -1 y= 5 C. x= 4 y= -1 D. x= 6 y= -2

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Do you know how to solve by elimination? I would multiply the second equation by -3 and add the two equations together to get an equation in terms of one variable only.
