OpenStudy (anonymous):

If f(x) = x 2 + 1 and g(x) = 3x + 1, find f(2) + g(3).

OpenStudy (yrelhan4):

just put the corresponding values in each equations and solve.. as the question says, you gotta put 2 in fx and 3 in gx and add. tell me if you get stuck, i'll walk you through this. :)

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

Rewrite \[f(x) = x^2+1\] replacing \(x\) with \((2)\) Rewrite \[g(x) = 3x+1\] replacing \(x\) with \((3)\) Evaluate both and add.
