Which is the distance between points A and B?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. squared root of 5 B. squared root of 3 C. 2 D. squared root of 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Distance = sqrt[(x2 - x1)^2 + (y2 - y1)^2]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont understand @Gators88

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats the distance formula between two points. even though this is in 3D, the two points are in the same plane...so you can eliminate a coordinate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = 1 for both, so pretend its just (x, z) (x2, z2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh okay thank you @Gators88

OpenStudy (anonymous):

youre welcome...and by same plane I should clarify I meant one that is perpendicular to the y-axis, eliminating it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yahh i understand
