A box has a length of 4 cm, a width of 10 cm, and a height of 2 cm. The volume of the box is: 18 cm 18 cm^3 80 cm 80 cm^3

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

width times length times height

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

ahemm, yes, c: is also 80, but just a value, D is a cubic value, thus a volume

OpenStudy (anonymous):

os it is 80^3 or just 80

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

well, is not \(80^3\) is \(80 cm^3\) :)

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

the "3" means there are 3 dimensions included width, height, length as opposed to only 2 dimensions included width, length like say \(2 acres^2, 3yards^2, 100meters^2\)

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

so you could say, 2 dimension items, width and length, are "flat" whilst 3 dimension items, added height, are "fat"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you so much!

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):
