assume that y varies inverse if y=10 when x=5 find y when x=2

**varies inversly

***inversely

OpenStudy (espex):

If y varies inversely with x, then you can say that x divided into some proportional constant (k) will give you 'y': \(y=\frac{k}{x}\) As such, you can find 'k' by setting up the equation with the values you know: \(10=\frac{k}{5}\), likewise you can then use k, and the same equation, to find your missing 'y' value..
