work out whats in the parentheses first next priority is multiplication then addition and subtraction have you heard of PEDMAS?
oh yea i defiantly forgot and didn't use that :p
2 (3) x 3 + 3 2 x 3= 6 x 3 + 3 18 + 3 = 21 2[3 + 3(2)] – (1 – 3) 2 (3 + 6) - (1 - 3) 2 x 9 - (1 - 3) 2 x 9 - (-2) 18 - - 2 18 + 2 18 + 2 = 20
In other words, 2(5 – 2) • 3 + 3 is larger.
