Two angles are supplementary. If one angle has a measure twice the other angle, what are the measures of the angles?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it x+2x=180?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Supplementary angles add to 180. If you let "x" be the measure of one angle, then: x + 2x = 180 -> 3x = 180 -> x = 60 So, one is 60 and the other is 120.
