OpenStudy (egirl):

If there are 1,000 raffle tickets sold for a fund raiser and you buy one ticket, what's the probability that you won't win?

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

well...the probability that you will win is 1/1000. So, I am guess that the probability that you won't win is 999/1000 ???

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

@dan815 ....can you take a peek at this ? Is this correct ?

OpenStudy (dan815):

yes

OpenStudy (dan815):

u must just do total probabiliy - prob of win = prob of loss 1-1/1000 = 999/100

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

thanks...that is what I thought

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

I am not really good at probabilities.....never was

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

I can do the simple ones...but with all the colors and shapes of that example you gave.....I would need help with that

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

thanks again for checking my answer

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

your freaking me out.....lol

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

25 ?

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

see...I am not good at them.....oh well....

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

can you solve it ?

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

well....I won't be the one to solve it......you would have a have a better chance at solving it then me

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

my chances of solving it are 1/10000000....your chances are probably 1/20. lol....probabilities

OpenStudy (texaschic101):

ok.....thanks again

OpenStudy (dan815):

ok there we go xD
