Find A U B if A = {4, 7, 10, 13, 17} and B = {3, 5, 7, 9}.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the union operation is all of the element of each set, so you take all the elements of A and all the elements of B and put them in the same set A U B = { 4,7,10,13,17,3,5,7,9} then reorder the set A U B = { 3, 4, 5, 7, 7, 9, 10, 13, 17} now using a property of sets we take out repeats (int this case 7) A U B = { 3, 4, 5, 7, 9, 10, 13, 17}

thank you sorry for the late thanks but that was the only problem that was giving me a hard time.
