Can someone explain how to solve? Stable High School has a total of 112 boys and girls who play sports. If the number of girls, g is 16 more than twice the number of boys, b, how many girls play sports at this high school? Which system of equations would help you solve this problem? A} b + g = 112 b = 2g + 16 B } b + g = 112 g = 2b + 16 C} b − g = 112 b = 2g − 16 D} None of the systems above would solve this problem.

You would use the equations from "B". The method from this point would best be substitution. That second equation has an expression for "g" (the right side). You can put the right side of equation #2 into equation #1 where you see that "g".
