since scientists are human 4 is certainly true, but not relevant to this question. 3 is just abit silly. 2 Is my choice, hypotheses by definition are not rigourously tested, and so lack evidence, and often turn out wrong.

Yeah 1 is interesting and I could be wrong. But if 1 were true, then there would be the "scientific theory of gravity made from cheese" and lots of other things to "include all the possibilities" which just seems absurd.
