How to I prove that ΔABC=ΔDCB?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

see if you can use a congruence theorem

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I don't know how to do that

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

Its okay, look at the two small triangles. look at the given info. and tell me wat sides are equal.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

AC=BD ?

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

yes, and wat other sides are equal

OpenStudy (anonymous):

CB= BC

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

perfect !

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

so all 3 sides are equal between both the triangles, eh ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thanks!

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

we prove it like this :- It is given that, AB = DC , and AC = DB. And CB = BC by reflexive property. Since all 3 sides in one triangle are equal to all 3 sides in another triangle. both the triangles are congruent by SSS congruence.

Okay! your awesome! Thanks so much! Now I can go and brag to my teacher that I know something that nobody else in the class knows! THANKKKK YOU!

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

lol you're awesome too :D thanks for the testimonial very kind :))
