Draw a Tangent Line.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I understand the entire problem, except part D. When they just say "draw a tangent line" I don't know how they do that. I see from the graph it make sense, but how would i know to make the line like that? Can't find the slope otherwise. Thanks

OpenStudy (dan815):

okay what do you mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How do they draw the tangent line? Comes out of nowhere, but they don't explain it.

OpenStudy (dan815):

do u know what tangent line means

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I guess not.

OpenStudy (dan815):

tangent line is just basically the slope of the graph at that point,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A tangent line is a straight line that just touches a curve; a straight line approximation of the direction of the curve.

OpenStudy (dan815):

its a line where it doesnt passs thru any of the points right beside it
