A 5.31 kg object is swung in a vertical circular path on a string 2.99 m long. The acceleration of gravity is 9.8 m/s^2 If the speed at the top of the circle is 6.2 m/s, what is the tension in the string when the object is at the top of the circle? Answer in units of N

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So for tension I thought I could just do T=MA, and then for A, A=v^2/r, but when I plugged that all in, it was wrong. Do I need to factor gravity in some how?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So basically I plugged in T=5.31((6.2^2)/2.99)
