f is blue, g is red in graph: http://www.flickr.com/photos/97191831@N07/9026974131/lightbox/ What would (g/f)'(5)=? I got .16 but I was told it was wrong.

http://www.flickr.com/photos/97191831 @N07/9026974131/lightbox/ try this

OpenStudy (jack1):

dammit.. like the whole amount

OpenStudy (dan815):

the @ command messes it up on here

This is how I solved for the derivative: (g/f)' = (f g' - g f') / (f)² (g/f)'(5) = f(5) g'(5) - g(5) f '(5) / (f(5))² f '(5) = 0.5 g'(5) = 1 f(5) = (5) f '(5) + f(0) = 5(0.5) + 0 = 2.5 g(5) = (5 - 2) g '(5) + g(2) = 3(1) + 0 = 3 (g/f)'(5) = (f(5) g'(5) - g(5) f '(5)) / [f(5)]² (g/f)'(5) = (2.5 (1) - (3)0.5) / (2.5)² (g/f)'(5) = 0.16
