Which of the following would be the if-then form of the conditional "All monkeys have tails"? A. If an animal is a monkey, then it does not have a tail. B. If an animal is a monkey, then it has a tail. C. If an animal has a tail, then it is a monkey. D. An animal is a monkey if and only if it has a tail.
Is C the correct answer?
It's good to check the truth value of the non if-then statement first... Is the statement "All monkeys have tails" true or not (more or less) ?
I think it is more true than false...@terenzreignz
yeah, it is more or less true... but is the statement in C true?
No, I think B is more true than C
yeah, B is the answer :) The 'hard' part about these logic stuff is that you have to really absorb and think about the questions, there are no formulas to follow or anything like that... unless... Well, whenever you're asked for the if-then statement of various things, like... All A are B (If something is A then it is B) No A are B (If something is A, then it is not B) (If something is B, then it is not A)
that's general rules :D
Thank you so much!!!
No problem :)
