you need to separate in 2 parts so you have
(ac+ad) + (bc+bd),

Step 1: Group them
(ac - bc) + (ad - bd)

Step 2: Take the common factors in each group out
c(a-b) + d(a-b)

Step 3: As you can see the factor (a-b) are alike in each group and what you have left is c+d on the outside so group those together.

= (a-b)(c+d)
