Is college Calculus super hard? Or is everyone who is going to take it fretting about nothing?
it easy
the hardest thing about calculus is the algebra ....
It is not hard if you don't let yourself get SCARED. I suggest you visit. ocw.mit.edu/courses/mathematics/18-01-single-variable-calculus-fall-2006/video-lectures/ I've already finished the first unit on derivatives and got a 90 on the exam.
Depends on your level of preparation. If you did the minimum to get by in earlier classes, it may be a struggle. If your algebra and trigonometry skills are solid, it can be pretty enjoyable, as you get to tackle interesting problems.
@ivancsc1996 Woah! Thanks bro. That should help a lot. I'll try to practice from those videos. Are you in college already or are you doing it beforehand?
@whpalmer4 My algebra skills are pretty solid. I had an Indian teacher and she was the best!!
I just finshed tenth grade (which in Colombia is like eleventh grade in the US). I should be going to college next year. They are great videos. They are a little bit hard at first since you dont really have a feel for calculus yet, but once you rewatch the videos enough times to understand it (specially lecture 6) you will get it. My tips are to get a good feel for the "chain rule" and be sure to understand the meaning of a derivative.
@ivancsc1996 Okay. I can't thank you enough for the link! God bless
