you could graph the simpler equivalent yes,  but keep in mind that there is no equivalent value when x=-4

so the graph is equivalent to y=-x-5,  but there is a hole generated at x=-4

so you put it in 5 and put the hole a -4,1 then connect it ? thankyouu !
