well the one thing to bear in mind with absolute values is that |2x + 4| < 8 really means +1(2x + 4) < 8 AND -1(2x + 4) < 8
so, solve those 2 :) and see what you get one will give you one value for "x" the other another value for "x"
if we have |x| < c we can write x< c and x>-c so, what can u write |2x+4| <8 as ?
