so, you woke up yesterday morning, and watered your tomato plant, you notice it had 20 tomatoes, wow! 20 tomatoes so, the day goes by so you wake up this morning, and off you go to water down your tomato plant how many tomatoes are you expecting to find?
sorry I got a lagged some
its ok :)
I think you might expected like 2 or 3
what about the next morning? another 2 or 3 more?
you don't happen to have a chart for this specific tomato material?
well if it was the next morning you would see like 7 or 8
p.s I my mom had grown a farm when I was little so you know :)
I gather you weren't given a chart for this? :)
no
ok
so, one day you'd expect 2 or 3 more the next day about 7 or 8 and so on so, your chart will look like |dw:1371669298985:dw|
there's no telling how many exact tomatoes will come up the next morning, we know there'll be some, but not exactly how many
yea so wat do you think the answer might be ?? :)
well, what is the meaning of Discrete discrete is non-continuous what is the meaning of "linear" when in a straight line
oh ok
you went from 2 or 3 tomatoes one day, to 7 or 8 the next that's giving scattered numbers, jumping from 3 to 7 so that makes it non-continuous and if you plot the values on the cartesian plane, you can't get a straight line off it
ok so it would be (B) right :)
yes
yay thank you so much you were a big help
yw
now you can get just get a couple of those tomatoes and make a salad, nevermind if you take 2 or 3, next morning there'll be other 2 or 3 more :)
yea yummy tomato salad :P
lol
