I need to write a history paper using Chicago style. I haven't used this before, and it's a bit confusing. I also use Word 2010, how can I incorporate Word's built-in reference creator to correctly use Chicago style documenting?

OpenStudy (jagatuba):

The Purdue Online Writing Lab (OWL) is a good resource for all different types of formats. They are usually pretty up-to-date with their material. You can find their Chicago Style info here: http://bit.ly/1431HOY However, if you are going to be doing a lot of writing in Chicago Style, you're best bet is just to buy a copy of the Chicago Manual of Style. As for adjusting Word's reference creator for Chicago-style formatting, I couldn't tell you (although i probably should). I never use it I always do my citations manually so that I know they are right, but you might ask in the Computer Science group. Someone there might know.
