Which of the following is a possible rational zero for the polynomial 2x^3 + 7x^2 - 5x + 5? i know it isnt A B. 0 C. 1/5 D. 1/2

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

use rational roots test

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

use the remainder theorem find P(0), P(1/5) and P(1/2) when every you get zero as an answer you have a zero of the polynomial.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

as an example P(0) = 5 so 0 isn't a zero of the polynomial so thats choice gone.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its C! (:

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

did you get P(1/5) = 0 ..?
