DID I DO THIS RIGHT ? A=(PRT)+P A=(450*0.006*8)+450 A=21.6+450 A=471.6 ? Elektra purchased microwave for $450. It depreciates about 0.6% each year. What is the value of the microwave after eight years? $475.60 $428.85 $447.30 $472.06

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Is the formula correct?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont know lol that why im asking

OpenStudy (anonymous):

LOL :D

OpenStudy (amistre64):

depreciation is generally a straight line 450 - 450(.006)(8)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

since depreciation goes down in price, im sure it wont be more then it started ... since 475 is more than 450 thats not going to be correct to begin with

OpenStudy (phi):

depreciate means "go down in value" (because the item "wears out" and is not worth as much as it gets older) you probably want to do 450* (1-0.006)^8
