OpenStudy (calculusxy):

What are lengths?

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

I mean the full lengths of the triangle for each side? Sorry I know what lengths are.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the triangle above is what was given to me and nothing more

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Do you have the length of the right side of the triangle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nope that is all thats there

OpenStudy (raden):

the proportion sides of a 30-60-90 right triangle is 1 : sqrt(3) : 2

OpenStudy (raden):

x sqrt(3) = 11 solve for x

OpenStudy (calculusxy):

Use the Pythagorean theorem. The formula is a^2+b^2=c^2 then the c^2 will have to be sqrt.

OpenStudy (raden):

using the pythagorean theorem if given at least 2 sides , but if only one it doesnt works
