the half life of radium 226 is 1590 years. if a sample initially contains 100mg, how many milligrams will remain after 1 week can you use the equation y=ab^x

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

what didn't you like about my solution the previous time you posted this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope, cant use the equation given making a minor adjustment \[y= a b^{\frac{-x}{h}}\] where y = amount of product after a given time a = initial amount of product b would be 2 because we're refering to half life so it will half every 1590 years x - amount of time h - half life time
