I'm trying to find the inverse of a function and here's what I have so far. http://oi40.tinypic.com/2r225op.jpg I want to divide by (y+2) but then I'd be solving for x, not y.

jimthompson5910 (jim_thompson5910):

you have xy + 2x = 3y from here we solve for y to get xy + 2x = 3y 2x = 3y - xy 2x = y(3 - x) 2x/(3 - x) = y y = 2x/(3-x)

okay, thanks!
