To find the common difference in a sequence, you subtract the preceding term \(a_2 - a_1\), \(a_3 - a_2\), etc.. In this case it would look like this: 6x+5y , 9x+1y -(3x+9y) , -(6x+5y) etc.. etc.. and the answer is not 'e'. -------- ---------
