A burglar alarm system has six fail-safe components. The probability of each failing is 0.05. Find this probability: Fewer than two will fail.

@Alf3mb can you explain how you got the answer?

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

You can't have two fail-safe systems failing, you want *fewer* than two to fai...

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

fail* You only want one or none at all. So I suggest you take the probabilities that only one fails or that none at all fail, and add them up.
