Write a proportion that could be used to solve for each variable. Then solve. 12 balls in 2 boxes 78 balls in x boxes

OpenStudy (uri):

boxes :balls 2 :x 12:78 /x/2 x78/12 78/12 x2 =13 this is inverse proportion :p

OpenStudy (uri):

Because when their were 12 balls they were in 2 boxes,so when they were 78 it will be divided by 12 and multiply by 2 answer is 13.. 78 balls are in 13 boxes.
