Natalie has a box containing 26 tiles, each with a different letter of the alphabet. She randomly chooses one tile and places it on a desk. Then she chooses another tile and places it to the right of the first, and so on, until she has chosen 5 letters.

to get a 'h' there are 26 choices and hence probability will be 1/26 now h is gone, 25 letters remain, so to get an 'o', the probability will be 1/25 continuing this way, the probability to get 'house; will be 1/(26*25*24*23*21) which equals, (26-5)!/26!
