Idioms are expressions that aren't meant to be taken seriously.
Antithesis is opposites.. like, war is the antithesis of peace.
Alliteration is similar sounds at the beginning of consecutive words/phrases. Such as the kid things(tongue twisters) peter pipper picked peppers, etc.
Imagery is a description of something so that your senses would be able to be involved; very in depth descriptions of what to see, smell, hear, etc. It engages the reader to make the scene more able to picture.
