OpenStudy (bekkah323):

2/3 x (- 3/7)

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

you can see it better this way 2 -3 ? ------ x ----- = ---------- 3 7 ?

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

just multiply 2 x (-3) and 3 x 7

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

then simplify

OpenStudy (bekkah323):

does the fact that the negative was in-between the 3 and the 7 not just infant of the three change anything?

OpenStudy (bekkah323):

simplified its 3/7?

OpenStudy (bekkah323):

i meant 2/7

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

the negative is just saying that it is -3/7 when you multiply you get -6/21, now you can simplify by dividing by 3

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

you were right it is -2/7, remember the negative

OpenStudy (bekkah323):

oh right, that makes sense, thanks

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

yw :)
