Need help! confused with slopes! Choose the equation below that represents the line passing through the point (-2, -3) with a slope of -6. y + 3 = -6(x + 2) y + 2 = 6(x + 3) y - 3 = -6(x - 2) y - 2 = 6(x - 3)

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Well all these answer choices are in the point slope formula form \[y - y_0 = m(x - x_0)\] You replace the 'm' with your given slope the Yo with your given 'y' value and the Xo with your given 'x' value

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

so you have your point (-2 , -3) ( x , y) so replace the Yo with -3 replace the Xo with -2 and replace the m with your slope which = -6

thanks!
