try t = 10, does that work?
OpenStudy (whpalmer4):
if it does, what about t = -10?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I keep getting the same answer :( can anyone explain?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Is the answer 3t < 3t + 2
OpenStudy (anonymous):
C - all real numbers

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):
subtract 3t from both sides of the inequality, what do you get?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
0 < 2
OpenStudy (whpalmer4):
is that ever true?
OpenStudy (whpalmer4):
is it true at t = -5? how about t = 5? t = 500?

OpenStudy (anonymous):
so the answer is no solution!

no!
OpenStudy (whpalmer4):
isn't 0<2 always true, regardless of the value of t?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes, it is
OpenStudy (whpalmer4):
so, which graph reflects that?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
C ?

you aren't sure?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I am sure, but I said before was it C and I got no answer... thats why I am unsure
OpenStudy (whpalmer4):
you should be able to convince yourself, even if no one responds. two of the graphs show situations where the inequality is not true for all values. they can't be the answer. one of the answer choices says "no solution" but we know there are plenty of solutions. that leaves the graph that you chose. C is correct
