how do you find the volume of a cube if you know the length of a side of a cube? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I just want to be able to know how to for my online school they ask me a lot of questions on how to get the side length of a cube from the volume. I'll figure it out, I just want to know how. @chihiroasleaf

OpenStudy (chihiroasleaf):

well..., I'll give you an example.., if the length of a side of a cube is 2, what is the volume? if you know how to find the volume.., it will be easy to find the reverse...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the volume is 64, so I would divide that by 3 because LxWxH right? lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@chihiroasleaf

OpenStudy (anonymous):

NVM i figured it out lol

OpenStudy (chihiroasleaf):

64? are you sure? you said that it's L x W x H , then it will be 2 x 2 x 2 ...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes on my sheet, I figured it out I think it's 4 because 4x4x4 = 64 @chihiroasleaf

OpenStudy (jack1):

props @LeaRD

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

thats right ! if volume is 64, length of side wud be \(\large \sqrt[3]{64} = 4\)
