As the one before, we check the 2 possible solutions, \[If\ x<-1/9\Rightarrow -12(-9x-1)=144\Rightarrow x=11/9\] \[If\ x>-1/9\Rightarrow -12(9x+1)=144\Rightarrow x=-13/9\] However, the solutions cannot satisfy the original equation, so this equation has nos solutions (this is because the 12 has a minus sign).
As I said, a minus numbre times a positive number cannot give a positive number. So there are no solutions.
