Which of the following points is a solution of the inequality y > -2x + 5?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have no idea

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

which points ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A. (1, 4) B. (0, 5) C. (-2, 8) D. (1, -2)

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

substitute the points to see which one is true

OpenStudy (ivettef365):

for example I take point (0,5) and on the equation y>-2x+5, I substitute as follows: 5 > -2(0) + 5 that is equal to 5>5 ( that is NOT TRUE), so you keep trying to see what points make the equation true.
