What grammatical structure is the italicized portion of the sentence?

OpenStudy (zale101):

Where is the sentence. Well, an italicized portion of the sentence is a word that is distinguished from others within the text. Examples can be: 1. Titles--Books, movies, magazines, Plays, etc. 2. Names of Vehicles-- 3. Foreign Words or Phrases--the abbreviation for the latin (et cetera) should be itlicized cuz it depends largely on your audience. 4. Words as Words--The word (basically) is often unnecessary and should be removed so it should be italicized. 5. For Emphasis--These rules (do not apply) to newspaper writing. 6. Words as Reproduced Sounds--(Grrr!) went the bear. Grrr! is italicized.
