\[\large \large 17^3 - 17 * 2 -(2+6*2)\] To simplify this, you want to do order of operation. So parenthesis goes first. (2 + 6 * 2) What does that give you? You must perform order of operation. 6 * 2 = 12. 12 + 2 = 14. [\large \large \[\large \large 4913 - 17 * 2 -(14)\])\]\] Next you want to do exponent. What is 17 to the third power? It is, 4913. (I used a calculator c:) Next you want to do 17 * 2. This would give you 32. So now it should look like, 4913 - 34 - 14. This would give you 4865.

OpenStudy (goldphenoix):

"This would give you 32." I meant to put 34. But the answer is 4865. :)
