a company donated 200 books to a local library.If 70 of them are fiction,what percent of the books are fiction? Can you explain it clearly please?I am horrible at math and I would really appreciate it,Thank you.

Well there's 200 books in all (your totoal). 70 of them are fiction or in other words 70/200 of the total books are fiction. The percent is just the portion of the total. So 70/200 simplifiies to 35/100= .35 or 35%
