What are the solutions of the equation? Graph and check the solutions. | x | + 10 = 1 A. x = 9 B. x = 9 or x = –9 C. x = 0 D. no solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not likely that \(|x|=-9\) since \(|x|\geq 0\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think it should be no soulution.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

D you get \[\left| x \right|=-9\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which is impossible becasue abs value always a posititve value because its a real distance

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's impossible because the two lines surrounding the x like this |x| make whatever x equals to be a positive number. No positive number + 10 could equal 9

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Sorry the 9 should be a 1
